Cookies, local storage & consent We use strictly necessary cookies/technologies (e.g. shopping cart, login, consent status) without requiring consent. All other cookies (analytics/marketing) are only set with your consent via the cookie banner; you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future (“Cookie settings”). • You have the option to contact us via the messenger service “WhatsApp.” The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
  • When you use WhatsApp, you automatically transmit your phone number to us. In addition, your username and any other data you voluntarily provide will be processed. Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption. However, we would like to point out that, according to WhatsApp, certain metadata (e.g., times of communication, IP address, device data) is processed independently of the content.
  • The use of WhatsApp is entirely voluntary. The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 (1) a GDPR (consent). You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.
  • Further information on data processing by WhatsApp can be found in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
  • If you do not want WhatsApp to process your data, we recommend using alternative contact options such as e-mail or phone.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) a (initiation via WhatsApp) and b (pre-contractual/contract). Please do not send sensitive data via WhatsApp.
We operate pages/accounts on Meta services. For Page/Account Insights there is joint responsibility with Meta in accordance with the Page Insights Controller Addendum. Meta provides usage statistics; we do not receive any direct raw data about individual persons. Legal bases: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (reach/communication) and Art. 6 (1) a GDPR (marketing tracking via cookies/pixel). Data subject rights can be exercised with both us and Meta.
  • Social plugins/embeds: When playing YouTube videos or loading external content, IP address, device specifics and, where applicable, cookie IDs may be transmitted to the respective provider (including possible third-country transfers under DPF/SCCs). We integrate such content in a privacy-friendly manner wherever possible (e.g. two-click solution; only after consent). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) a GDPR (marketing/convenience).
  • X (formerly Twitter): Use of our X profiles and embedded content is subject to X’s privacy policy; processing may take place outside the EU (DPF/SCCs). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f/a GDPR.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): Used for managing tags. GTM itself does not set cookies; however, it triggers tools that may collect data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) a GDPR (where consent-based tools are managed) or Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (purely technical triggering).
  • Google Analytics 4: Google Ireland Limited; data may also be transferred to Google LLC (USA). We use GA4 only with consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR), IP addresses are not logged; we apply [data retention, e.g. 14 months], internal anonymization/masking functions, and do not use cross-device Ads features without additional consent. For transfers to the USA, Google may rely on the EU-US DPF (provided certification). Note: DPF does not automatically make GA4 “GDPR-compliant” – collection/consent remain decisive.
  • Google Ads (conversion tracking & remarketing): Used only with consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). Purpose: measuring the success of advertising campaigns, remarketing audiences. Data: cookie/ID data, truncated IP, event data (e.g. purchase events). Transfers to the USA may rely on the DPF (for certified recipients).
  • Google Shopping / Merchant Center: Product feeds are provided to Google for display in Shopping services; measurement via Ads/Analytics only with consent. Data: product/transaction and event data (pseudonymized). Third countries: see DPF.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): Used only with consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR) for conversion measurement/remarketing. Joint controllership may arise under the Meta Business Tools terms; data transfers to the USA are based on DPF/SCCs.
When registering for the newsletter (double opt-in), we process your e-mail address, if applicable your name, the opt-in timestamp, and interactions. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR) and – for electronic advertising – § 107 TKG (Austria). You may unsubscribe at any time via the link provided; proof of consent will be retained for up to 3 years after unsubscribing (Art. 6 (1) c/f GDPR).
For the fulfillment of the contract, we transmit order, payment, and delivery data to GoRocket and DHL (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). Depending on the provider, data may be processed outside the EU; in such cases, appropriate safeguards (DPF/SCCs) are applied.
We load external web fonts locally or – when integrating them from third-party servers – only with consent, since the retrieval itself transmits the IP address. The background is EU risk assessments/court rulings that consider remote fonts critical without consent.
To protect against bots, we use Google reCAPTCHA only with consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). In the process, technical usage data is transmitted to the provider; any transfers to the U.S. are based on the DPF/SCCs.
If we do not collect data directly from you (e.g., address validation, fraud prevention, credit check in the case of purchase on account), we will inform you separately in accordance with Art. 14 GDPR.
If service providers process data in third countries, we ensure an adequate level of data protection – in particular through adequacy decisions (e.g., EU-US DPF) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), including transfer impact assessments and supplementary measures. The EU-US DPF was adopted on July 10, 2023 and provides participating U.S. companies with a recognized level of protection; in 2025 it was confirmed by a court (first instance, not yet final).
We store personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes/contractual obligations, to comply with statutory retention requirements (e.g., 7 years under the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code/Value Added Tax Act), or to defend against or pursue legal claims.
Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection (to processing based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR), as well as withdrawal of consent given, effective for the future. Right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
The provision of certain data is required for the conclusion and performance of the contract (e.g., address for delivery). Without this data, we cannot process orders.
Our offer is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. Orders are permitted from the age of 18.
We implement technical and organizational measures (TLS encryption, access control, role/authorization concepts, pseudonymization, backups) to protect data against loss or misuse.
We update this privacy policy whenever technologies, processes, or legal requirements change. The version published here is the one that applies. Last updated: 27 September 2025.

Terms and Conditions

Version 250901 – valid from September 1st, 2025

Let us turn the most beautiful days of your life into wonderful successes together. It is very important to us to provide you with competent, sincere, and honest information. To address any questions in advance and give you peace of mind, we kindly ask you to read our terms and conditions carefully.

We are happy to deal with your concerns personally. You can find all the ways to contact us here. We are there for you!

In the general terms and conditions, the terms Contractor and Client are frequently used.
  • Contractor: ringshop GmbH, Herrenstraße 28, 4320 Perg;
  • Client: Customers who shop at ringshop.de, at ringshop.at, at ringshop.ch, at ringshop.li or in the onlineringshop.com;

For all business relationships between the contractor and the client, which are processed via ringshop.de, ringshop.at, ringshop.ch, ringshop.li or onlineringshop.com, these general terms and conditions apply exclusively in the version valid at the time of the conclusion of transactions. With every purchase from the contractor, you expressly agree to these terms and conditions.

The prices of the jewelry are largely dependent on the current precious metal prices and are periodically adjusted accordingly, which is why we are generally unable to grant discounts. Discounts are available during promotional periods – for example selected summer months – for defined items. Prices for services (with the exception of ring width changes during the defined period) are not included in the product prices and are invoiced separately on a time and material basis. The prices for services used after purchase are transparent and comprehensible. All prices include the statutory value added tax of the respective destination country. None of the discounts granted can be combined. It is important to note that discount combinations cannot be combined with a partner either. Cash redemption is not possible for discounts and rebates. Promotions, vouchers and discounts are not transferable.

Please note that a specialist advisor is reserved especially and exclusively for you for booked consultation appointments. In the high season, consultation appointments are usually fully booked for several months. If you do not wish to attend your booked consultation appointment for various reasons, we ask you to cancel it in good time – at least two weeks before the consultation appointment – so that another interested party has the opportunity to book the appointment. In order to make good use of your time with us and to ensure that customers who have their appointment after yours do not have to wait for long, we ask you to arrive punctually for your consultation appointment.

As a rule, all articles in ringshop.de, ringshop.at, ringshop.ch, ringshop.li and onlineringshop.com are paid for at the time of the purchase decision – i.e. when the button “Order with obligation to pay” is pressed – using one of the payment methods offered. As soon as the item(s) has/have been paid for in full, the processing procedure is initiated by the contractor. As soon as the posted sales invoice is sent by the contractor to the client by e-mail, the items become the property of the client. The purchase price includes the VAT applicable in the respective country of destination. In excepectional cases, if requested by the client and agreed to by the contractor, the contribution for the temporary storage of the items in the contractor’s warehouse is also included. As long as the items have not been paid for in full, they remain the property of the contractor. We accept the following payment methods: All credit and debit cards (such as VISA, V PAY, MASTER CARD, ELV, UNION PAY, JCB, DINERS CLUB, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MAESTRO) as well as PayPal and instant bank transfer. All import duties such as customs duties and taxes shall be borne by the customer (importer) in the case of third country transactions. All return deliveries from third countries are processed as duty-free return goods.

Reservations are typically not possible for items from the online shop. Do you need more time to make a decision? Contact us – we will find a solution.

Without exception, every item is carefully checked in the outgoing goods inspection department before dispatch. Please check the goods carefully for any defects immediately after receipt. The contractor cannot accept any liability for defects, transport damage or soiling that are not reported immediately after reception. In accordance with the following provisions, the contractor is obliged to remedy any defect in the goods that impairs their functionality and that was already present at the time of delivery and is due to a fault on the part of the contractor, the material or the workmanship, within the statutory warranty period. The warranty claim only arises if the client immediately notifies the contractor in writing of the defect that has occurred and describes it in detail. Please use our form on the Returns page for this purpose. Partial defects of the delivery may not lead to a complaint about the entire delivery. After examining the complaint, the contractor may, at his discretion, replace or repair the defect-free goods or defective parts thereof. Irrespective of complaints, the right of withdrawal described under point 11 applies.

We guarantee that incorrectly ordered rings will be exchanged once for the correct ring size free of charge. This free exchange campaign applies within 60 calendar days of purchase. Please note that a flat rate of 59 euros will be charged for the exchange of rings with individual engraving.

The goods in this store are mainly precious metals. As a special service, the contractor offers the customer the option of returning the goods within 60 calendar days of the order, contrary to the legal framework that applies to precious metals. Please note that worn or damaged items cannot be returned. You can find much more information on returns and the necessary steps on our Returns page. The contractor points out and the customer acknowledges that the return promise is a service that can be revoked at any time, as the items offered are excluded from the statutory obligation to take back.

Do not worry, we take the handling of your data very seriously. The client consents to the personal data contained in the purchase contract being stored and processed automatically by the contractor in fulfillment of the contract. Further information on data protection can be found in the data protection section in the imprint. You are also welcome to contact us to be informed in detail about the contractor’s very detailed data protection concepts to fulfill the legal requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

The applicable statutory provisions apply. For any disputes, the locally competent court at the place of business shall have jurisdiction. Austrian substantive law applies. The applicability of the UN Sales Convention is completely excluded. If individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions are or become invalid or ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions is not be affected.

Jewelry is mostly made from alloys – blends of several metals fused together. Like wine blends (cuvées), these formulas have been refined over centuries. Pure gold would be too soft and always have the same color. That’s why different proportions of silver, copper, and palladium are added, which also increases durability.

For gold, the numbers 333/-, 375/-, 585/-, and 750/- indicate the percentage of pure gold. For example, 585/- means 585 g of pure gold in 1,000 g of alloy (14 karat). 750/- corresponds to 18 karat.

Platinum is used in 600/- and 950/- alloys. Jewelry made from 950/- platinum contains 95% pure platinum and is especially high-quality and durable. The remaining 5% typically consists of tungsten.

Palladium is used in 500/- and 950/- alloys.

Want to Learn More?

Diamond quality is based on five factors: Clarity, Colour, Cut, Carat, Confidence;

1) Clarity – The fewer inclusions, the higher the clarity grade:

Internally flawless (IF)

Very very small inclusions (VVS1, VVS2)

Very small inclusions (VS1, VS2)

Small inclusions (SI1, SI2)

Noticeable inclusions (P1)

Larger inclusions (P2)

2) Colour – Diamond shades include: blue-white, fine white, white, faintly tinted white

3) Cut – The cut gives the diamond its brilliance. The ideal is the brilliant cut (56 facets), with variants such as Princess, Trilliant, Baguette, Oval, and Marquise.

4) Carat – Diamonds are weighed in carats (1 carat = 0.2 g). One carat is divided into 100 points. A 25-point diamond equals 0.25 carat or 0.05 g.

5) Confidence – Only diamonds that comply with the international Kimberley Process are used. These are conflict-free diamonds, not used to fund wars. “Confidence” guarantees the stone is not a “blood diamond.”

Preferred Quality Not Available?

Alloy

In the “Alloy” section, select your preferred material. There are four main alloys to choose from: Gold, Platinum, Palladium, and Silver. Once you have selected an alloy, only the fineness levels compatible with that alloy will be available in the “Fineness” section.
Yellow Gold: The “classic”, elegant, and timeless gold color with fineness levels of 333/-, 375/-, 585/-, and 750/- is a yellow gold alloy that closely resembles pure gold and is primarily alloyed with silver and copper. Jewelry with a fineness of 585/- (14 karat) or 750/- (18 karat) is referred to as “fine jewelry”.
White Gold: At 585/-, white gold consists of 58.5% pure gold and is alloyed with silver, copper, and palladium. It is also commonly available in fineness levels of 333/-, 375/-, and 750/-. Rhodium plating on the surface gives white gold its especially bright and radiant appearance.
Rose Gold: This modern gold alloy, available in 585/- and 750/-, captivates with its rosy shimmer. Its distinctive, lighter tone compared to red gold is achieved through a lower copper content and the inclusion of palladium alongside silver.
Red Gold: This alloy consists of fine gold, copper, and silver, with gold content ranging from 333/- to 750/-. The slightly higher copper content gives red gold its characteristic color and hardness. The elegant and timeless hue resembles that of copper.
Platinum: This alloy has been one of the most favored metals for fine jewelry for over 5,000 years. It is slightly more durable than gold. With a fineness of 950/-, platinum is similarly bright and radiant as white gold. A fineness of 600/- results in a somewhat darker appearance.
Silver: Silver alloys have been popular for centuries in jewelry making. Silver impresses with its bright and radiant appearance and is especially sought-after for engagement rings due to its affordability.
Blush Gold: This modern gold alloy, available in 585/- and 750/-, is flattering for all genders. Almost all rings and other pieces of jewelry are also available in this alloy. If the alloy is not selectable, please contact us.
Palladium: A metal related to platinum, palladium has a particularly bright and radiant surface at a fineness of 950/-. At 500/-, it appears significantly darker, similar to grey gold.
Honey Gold: Also known as “rich yellow”, this precious metal has a more intense yellow tone compared to traditional yellow gold. It is available with a fineness of 750/-, or 18 karat.
Grey Gold: At 750/-, grey gold consists of 75% pure gold. It is also available in 585/-, meaning 58.5% gold content. For an even darker look, grey gold can be ruthenium-plated.
Ruthenium-Plated Grey Gold: Ruthenium-plated grey gold has a significantly darker appearance than unplated grey gold. Over time, the ruthenium coating will wear off, gradually lightening the color.
Sun Gold: This particularly high-quality alloy is composed of 90% pure gold, resulting in a very “intense” gold tone. In addition to 90% gold, the soft Sun Gold alloy includes 6% fine silver and 4% copper.
Tantalum: This metal belongs to the group of “rare earths”. It is primarily used in jewelry as pure tantalum (999/-) or as an alloy with 10% tungsten (900/-). Its color is similar to ruthenium-plated grey gold, with the advantage that it is not coated and thus retains its color over time.
Sunrise Gold: This modern color is achieved through a special mix of gold, fine silver, copper, and zinc. Sunrise Gold is available at a fineness of 585/-, or 14 karat.
Platinum Snow: As the name suggests, Platinum Snow is an exceptionally bright and high-quality platinum alloy. It consists of 95% pure platinum and contains no copper or tungsten, unlike conventional platinum.
Carbon: For a truly dark look, carbon is the material of choice. It is not an alloy, but rather a special type of surface refinement, in which carbon fibers are applied using resin, pressure, and heat treatment. The result is an extremely durable surface.
